Tumelo Mogoane is a South African actor born and bred in Katlehong, the East rand of Johannesburg. The love for acting began at a young age, where he participated in community theatre that represented the history of South Africa, plays like Kofifi and Sarafina.

His love for the arts grew more in high school as he started an acapella group with three of his friends, entering talent competitions, performing for the school functions and charity organisations in his community, he really is vested in the development of art in the local communities.

In 2017, Tumelo got a role on a Showmax feature film (Looking for love), playing the character Sammy Junior. Through this experience, he was recognized by directors and producers for his ability to take direction retain scenes and lines quickly. In 2020, he acted in physical role that required athletic training on The River Season 3 playing young boy.

Following High school, Tumelo went to the University of Johannesburg to study his BA in Philosophy, while professionally training at the UJ Arts and Culture Drama Academy. He was picked among 15 Drama students who participated in a Drama showcase where he performed the Monologue (SKIERLIK) by Phillip M Dikotla. In 2021, Tumelo made it to the Actors Spaces academy where he was professionally trained for both theatre and screen acting. Currently he is working on a student film (LEBONE) together with Wits Final year students, playing the character Khaukhelo.

As a storyteller, Tumelo aims to fully step into the shoes of the character and tell their stories truthfully knowing that his audience receive his performance wholeheartedly and the message is properly delivered as intended by the performance.
